Welcome to ART at GRE!
Hello! My name is Mrs. Doran and I am SO excited for another great year at GRE!
I graduated from Capital University with a Bachelors of Art Education degree and taught in Gahanna Jefferson City Schools at Middle School West before coming to Big Walnut. In the spring of 2015 I graduated with my Masters in Intervention from Ashland University. I live here in Sunbury with my husband, twins Jax & Tessa and mini doxin, Lucy.
Students in grades 1-4 and full day kindergarteners will all have art 1-2 times per week depending on the A B C D rotation for specials (Art, Music STEM & PE). Half day kindergarten students will have a different special each quarter. Make sure to ask your student what day they have art! We do have smocks to wear, but sometimes students still tend to get messy!
Are you Art SmART??? Being Art SmART means following our classroom rules so we can have a fun and safe time in the art room.
Be Respectful- To teachers, classmates and our supplies
Raise Your Hand- A hand in the air makes art fair
Follow Directions- Make sure to stop, look, and listen so you know what to do
Work Quietly- You make talk quietly, but we are here to make art!
Help Clean Up- Your area, your table & with your job
Be Creative- Use your IMAGINATION!
If you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year please feel free to contact me at [email protected].
