During free choice time this group decided extend their learning and practice weaving on the yarn looms!
Students learned about the artist Faith Ringold and how she used fabric to make her story quilts. Students then thought of a special place they have been or like to go. They created their own story quilts by fusing fabric together. Students were extra careful while ironing their fabric....my favorite comment was "Don't tell my mom I know how to iron now!" The 4th graders designed their own robot blueprint using 3D shapes after learning about DaVinci & his inventions. The students were challenged to build their robot to solve a problem.
