Check out the difference between the 3rd grade pots in the kiln (green ware.... Has not been fired yet) and the ones that just came out (bisque ware.... Has been fired once). What a difference in color! Stay tuned to see them in the glazeware stage....shiny & finished!
2nd graders have been learning about the artist Vincent VanGogh and one of his most famous paintings, Starry Night. Students are creating their own Starry Night inspired pictures while focusing on foreground, middle ground, background, and horizon line. Mrs. LaSota's class started to glue down all of their painted paper to create their Eric Carle inspired Mister Seahorse artwork! 4th graders in Mrs. Pharazyn's class shared their silhouette paintings and research about their famous landmarks today! Last week was MESSY in the art room for 1st grade, even with smocks on! (Sorry for any paint on clothes.... It is washable tempera) Students are learning the process Eric Carle uses to illustrate his books. Step one is to paint papers with bright colors and lots of texture! |
